Billy Graham in Quotes book review

As a member of the book sneeze program, I requested the book, Billy Graham in Quotes.  I think that Billy Graham is an amazing man of God, and I love reading his books.  This book is amazing.  I love how it is broken down into sections.  The book has more than one hundred topics arranged for easy reference.  These topics include anything from abortion all the way to young people, with many of topics in between.  This book covers more than seven decades of his ministry, drawing from both his published and personal works.   This is a book that you cannot read in just one reading, it is a book to be read and referenced over and over.

One of his quotes pertaining children:  "Children do need the guidance of their parents, and we guide them more by the example we set than by any other way.  We need to be firm and sane and fair and consistent-and, above all, we need to discipline in a spirit of love"

One of his quotes pertaining prayer:  "We should not pray for God to be on our side, but pray the we may be on God's side"

This is definately a great book for anyone who loves to read Billy Graham, and for anyone who needs a reference book for many topics. It has a wealth of knowledge from a man of wisdom.

Prospecs Shoes Review

I applied to recieve a pair of Propecs shoes to try for free in return for my review.  I was eventually chosen to do so and I was excited to try these shoes on.  When UPS showed up at my door with my box I was excited to open up my box and try them out immediately.  The shoes that I was given were purple.  Not a color I would normally choose but hey, they were free!  I was going to go to the gym that night so I decided I would wear my new Prospecs and see how they did with my 2 mile treadmil walk.  My feet normally are tired after my walk but with the prospecs they were not hurting.  I was ready for more walking.  So I continued wearing these shoes everywhere I went to further test them out for the next week.  These shoes are pretty comfortable.  They fit me pretty well.  These shoes are currently available only in Korea but they are working their way to the USA.  I can not wait til they do because I will definately get another pair for me and for my hubby.

What makes these shoes different from other shoes you might ask. 

 Well the main function for the shoes are Enhanced exercise effect.  They acheive this by having 32 frame bars featuring advanced ergonomics technologies for various walking styles.

These are very good shoes, probably the best pair of walking shoes I have tried and I would definately recommend them to anyone once they hit the US.

Old Navy Tank tops

I was chosen from CrowdTap to be a part of their Old Navy Sample and Share program featuring the decorated tanks.  I was given 4 coupons (one for me and three for my friends) to go get a free decorated embellished tank from Old Navy.  We had this party planned almost from the time I found out that I was chosen to be a part but unfortunately things kept happening and we were finally able to go the last day before the coupon expired.  Luckily there were still plenty of cute shirts to choose from in all sizes so that was awesome.  I had again invited my 2 sisters, Jenifer and Erica, and my sister in law Damita.  But because of last minute changes only Jenifer was able to go, and so I gave the extra two coupons to 2 random moms in the store.  They were exicted and grateful that I gave them the coupons.  I could not see them go to waste.  Jenifer and I tried on all the ones we thought were cute.  I personally thought some of them were cuter online than in person but we did have fun.  In the end my sister and I both chose the same black tank.  Thanks to Old Navy and CrowdTap for this experience.

Potty Training and M&M's

I am now potty training my third son.  We waited a while before we started training him, mainly because my first two sons took almost a year to potty train fully and I just finished with Evan.  Well Elishah is going to be three tomorrow and I wanted him to be potty trained before the end of summer.  As we have done in the past, we potty train with M&Ms.  It starts out with getting an m&m for sitting on the potty, 2 m&ms for going pee in the potty and 3 m&ms for going poo in the potty.  Well my son is a pretty smart cookie.  He has decided that he is going to "try" to go potty almost every five minutes.  I think it has something to do with getting an m&m everytime.  He runs off the potty and goes straight to our m&m container to get his candy.  We have done the M&M system with all 3 boys but I think Elishah has gotten the most of it.  I think it is about time to rethink the system.

The Blessing

Since I am a part of the program, Book Sneeze, I got to choose a book to receive for free in return for my review.  I chose the book The Blessing by John Trent and Gary Smalley.  I have read other books from them before and so I was excited to see what this book has to offer.  I think it is great must read for parents, grandparents and anyone in general.  It really opened my eyes up to how I am raising my children.  Children are so vunerable at this small age and basically all they want to do is to please their parents.  And it continues as they grow into adults.  I think that children are a blessing to us and just to give them our blessing to them as humans and as people means the world to people.  I think that people think their kids are just there and parents are too busy to acknowledge their own kids and I think that they need to read this book.  Even back in biblical times children were looking for their parents blessing.  Looking back to Jacob and Esau, all Jacob wanted was for his father to bless him.  And he actually tricked his father into giving him his brothers blessing.  How many children are out there longing to have their parents just tell them I love you for who you are.  I think this book is a great parenting book and I definately recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Gillette Fusion Pro Glide Challenge and Giveaway

I signed up for the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Challenge from Gillette.  They sent me a free razor to replace my old razor to test it out.  I know that this is a guys razor and I am not a guy, but I prefer guy razors over girl razors.  I have been using a different brand of razor on my legs and was excited to be a part of this challenge.  So once I recieved my package in the mail I was eager to take a shower just to shave my legs lol.  I love this razor.  It really does glide over my legs, it is a smooth shave over my knees and ankles which is usually a hard spot to get without cutting myself.  About two days after shaving my legs were still pretty smooth it was that close of a shave.  I like that there was not any razor burn or itchyness that I usually get.  The blades last pretty long too, I have shaved quite a bit since getting this sample and it is still going strong which is a good thing but they are kinda of pricey to replace. 
















Now to the good part for my readers.  Somehow I was sent 2 boxes for the challenge!  I do not know how that happened but I am not a selfish person so I am going to have a giveaway and let someone else have the extra razor.  It is still in the box that was sent to me unopened and I will mail it out to the winner of the giveaway.  Now to get to the details of how to enter.

CrowdTap Fun

I just thought that I would share how great I think CrowdTap is.  There is one specific time I can think of that sticks out.  I was invited to be a part of an Old Navy Shorts sample and share program. I was able to get to hang out with all my sisters and my sister in law for a whole day.  That meant a lot to me, I would normally not just go to the mall with them because of lack of extra money, and I do not like going window shopping without any money,  but being a part of this share program allowed me to be able to get an outfit for free and hang out with my sisters.  Even though everyone was not able to go all at once, I was able to go with them one at a time, and that made it more memberable to me to be able to bond while shopping.  Yeah I get some points to turn into a gift card but the experiences that I get to have with my sisters is worth far much more.  We had a blast going into Old Navy and trying on clothes and going out to eat afterwards just so that we could hang out even more.  CrowdTap has made it possible for me to get that time that I normally would not have.  I know that some people are into it just to get the free stuff and while Iabsolutely love getting free stuff,  I am more into it for the experience that I get to get with my family and friends through the sample shares.  I have also been accepted into the Old Navy tank top sample and share from CrowdTap and I am looking forward to being able to spend more time with my sisters and sister in law.  I think that CrowdTap is an amazing site and I am glad that I found it and am able to share it with anyone and everyone I know.
