The ZooKeeper's Wife

(Disclosure:  I will receive compensation for this post.  All opinions are my own.)

I cannot wait to go see The ZooKeeper's Wife.  I love movies that are based on a true story.  Movies with moral and purpose are especially my favorites.   The Zookeeper's Wife portrays Antonina and Jan Zabinski, a Christian couple and zookeepers in Warsaw, Poland.  When the Germans invade and start World War II, Antonina and Jan refuse to stand-by in the face of so much suffering and persecution.  They join the resistance, and use the zoo as a hiding place and refuge to save hundreds of Jews from the Nazis-risking their own lives in the process.

The film is a testament to the power of compassion, faith, and courage within us all.  Check out the trailer here:

Do you know a women who is full of compassion, faith and courage?  I do.  There is a woman at my church who has heart issues.  She has had surgeries and keeps her faith.  When I was diagnosed with heart disease at age 30,  I looked up to her.  If she could have the strength and courage to be a mom with heart issues and still be faithful to God, I could too.  She really has helped me within my own heart journey.  I can now be courageous and accept my condition and live with it instead of letting it hold me back.

Who is someone who has helped you get through life's hardest obstacles?
