Free To Be...

Free to be……100% Boy

Having three boys, I have a ton of laundry to do daily. They sweat, get dirty, eat messily, and just live life and enjoy every moment of it.  Two of my boys have played baseball this spring and all three will play in the fall.  They are all active and play outside daily, as well as whatever mess they can get in at school.  (There have been some weird, unexplainable stains on their shirts!) One of the laundry products that we rely on and trust is all free clear.  I love the all product line.  The mighty pacs are really easy to use.  Just drop one in the washer before the clothes.  I love the all free clear OXI.  This product really helps with the clay stains they get on their baseball uniforms.  The Fresh and Sensitive detergent has a slight scent that is perfect!  Along with the all free clear detergents, I use a capful of the all free clear fabric softener.  Really helps make the clothes soft and static free.  Using the all free clear line of products, my boys are free to be 100% boy.  They are free to get dirty without worrying about staining their clothes.  They are free to be adventurous and explore the world around them.

Free to be……A busy mom

Being a mom of so much testosterone, I don't really have the time to spend in the laundry room.  My laundry room used to be an overwhelming mess.  I hated doing laundry.  Then one day, I came up with a solution that would help my family….Disposable clothing…Just kidding!  I came up with a shelving system that has worked great for us, so I thought I would share it with you all.  On my shelves, I have four baskets…one for each boy and one for me and my hubby.  One the bottom, I have a white hamper for lights and a black hamper for darks.  To the side of the shelf I have a basket for towels and sheets.  I wash, dry and fold one-two loads of laundry every day.  I then separate the clothes and put the clothes in the designated baskets.  Every day, each person has to come empty out their baskets by putting them away themselves and bring the basket back to the shelf.  This way, each child is responsible for their own clothes.  They know that if they don't put away the basket everyday, it builds up and gets more time consuming for them when they decide to finally put them away.  They are not to have dirty clothes in their rooms.  If they do, I do not go into the rooms to get them.  If the clothes are not in the hampers they do not get washed.

Baskets are normally empty but we've taken turns being sick this week.
This system has worked for us as a family.  This leaves time for me to be Free to be a busy mom.  I get to take the time that I used to spend putting away everyones clothes, and play with my kids and be more involved instead of being consumed with chores!
