I have never had beef jerky before. I have always been interested in trying some but just have not done so. I was recently given the opportunity to test out Field Trip Jerky. To my amazement, these were pretty good. They were nice and chewy, the flavor was really good. I was able to try the Teriyaki No. 23, Original No. 3, and the Honey Spice No. 11 flavors.
First, my boys and I tried the original flavor. This is made with Hickory Smoke, Black Pepper and a Brown Sugar Marinade. We all liked this one. It had a little bit of a spicy taste to it but not too much spice.
The next one we tried was the Teriyaki flavor. This one is made with Ginger Soy Sauce, Asian Garlic and Onion, Brown Sugar, Honey and a Pineapple Marinade. This one was all of our favorite. We like this one the most because it was not spicy. It has a smooth taste to it. This bag was gone within 2 days.
The last flavor we were able to try is the Honey Spice jerky. This one was too spicy for us. My husband liked it though. I was able to eat it with a glass of water. That's just my taste buds though, I think a lot of things are spicy when my husband says it isn't. This one is marinaded in a Cayenne Pepper and Garlic Honey marinade.
