As we come close to the Christmas holidays, I want everyone to stop the chaos and take a moment to think about what Christmas means to you!
Christmas to me is a wonderful time of the year. It means beautiful christmas lights on Christmas trees and throughout neighborhoods. We love driving around looking at light displays.
It means live Christmas trees. I absolutely love live trees. The pine smells amazing and they are gorgeous to look at.
Christmas means music. I love Christmas music. I could listen to it year round. I love all the singers different renditions of the traditional songs.
Christmas means family. Family get togethers around Christmas dinner is a lot of fun. That's where lots of memories are made.
Christmas means my children's faces as they open up presents and make a mess with the wrapping paper and packaging!
But most of all...to me, Christmas means Jesus. It is a reminder that God sent his only son, Jesus, to us. He sent him so that we can be saved and spend eternity in Heaven with Him. You can read the story of Jesus' birth in Luke 2. It means that I have hope. I have hope that my loved ones, who have asked Jesus into their hearts, are going to heaven. I have hope that when I pass away, I will be with God! That is the best Christmas present that anyone could ask for! I love being able to take the time and worship God for all that He has done.
I received the DVD HILLSONG-LET HOPE RISE. This has helped me get to know the band a little bit more as well as get into the worship setting!
I also received this movie GREATER. This is by far one of the best movies that I have seen. I watched it with my kids during our weekly family movie night. This movie is so inspiring.
Both films highlight the perseverance people can have when they lean on their faith and when they do that-God enables them to do extraordinary things in life. Both of these DVD's would make great Christmas presents. They both released on DVD December 20th. So you have time to pick them up still.
Merry Christmas to all of my readers!
