Lesson learned

My kids have a bad habit of throwing their toys and stuff when they get upset. They usually lose the toy for the rest of the day when that happens. We do not tolerate things getting thrown. Today my middle son decided to get upset in the car while we were waiting in the pickup line for my older son. When he got upset he threw a toy at me that we just got from a fast food place. That toy bounced off my seat and out my window. Batman now is in the middle of the road. My son was so upset that it happened. He kept asking if I was going to get it and I told him no. Every decision has a consequence whether good or bad. In this case it has a bad consequence. He threw something out of anger and it went out the window and that is where it will stay. I did not get it and hopefully it is a lesson learned. I am not saying that it isn't hard to listen to him cry and asking for it back. It would be so simple to go get it for him but this is a behavior that needs to be changed and maybe this will stick in his mind the next time he throws something.

Finding Nemo in 3D Coming Soon

Ok parents, get ready to mark your calenders.  Finding Nemo will come to theaters in 3D September 14th.  How exciting is that! I love the movie Finding Nemo and now with it being in 3D I  know that I am going to love it more.  I remember watching it when it first came out a few years back and now that my kids are old enough to go to the theater, this one will be one that we will go see as a family.  I am so glad that this movie will be joining all the other great movies in 3D

SodaStream Review

Buying soda all the time can really add up. Especially with prices continuing to go up.  I had seen a commercial for the SodaStream machine and I thought it would be very interesting to try, so when the oppoturnity arose for me to review it, I jumped on it.  When my husband called me to tell me that my SodaStream had arrived I was very excited to get home and make my first bottle of soda.  First, I had to set it up.  That part was really simple, all you have to do it attatch the carbonator bottle.  Thats it.  Then the fun part of filling up the bottle and adding the carbonation.  All you have to do is screw the bottle into the machine.  Then push the button on top a couple of times to carbonate the water.  My kids love that part.  They like watching the bubbles go into the bottle.  The quality of the bottle itself is great.  It is nice and hard compared to the normal soda bottles you buy in the store.  After carbonating the water, you add the flavor using the cap, and slowly pouring it in.  Do not pour it fast otherwise it will bubble up and overflow.  (unfortuanately I learned that from experience).  The whole process of making your own liter of soda takes a maximum of 5 minutes, if that. 

SodaStream offers over 30 flavors. They have regular flavors that include, Cola, Rootbeer, Dr Pete, Fountain Mist and a lot more.  I have tried the Cola and the Root Beer.  They taste exactly like the name brand sodas you find in the store.  I was a little hesistent at first because I was not sure if it would taste the same but was very please to know that it does.   They have Diet Flavors like Diet Cola, Diet Lemon Lime, Diet Orange and plenty more options for those who prefer the diet drinks.  I tried the Diet Lemon Lime.  It taste just like diet sprite.  They also have Energy Drinks, Flavored Water, Sparkling Water, Sparkling Naturals, and Teas.  Something for everyones taste buds.

That does not belong here

You would think that by now I would learn to check the pockets of everyone's clothes before washing them.  Shortly after getting married I washed my husbands cell phone and once there was a piece of gum in one of his shirt pockets.  That was fun trying to get out of the clothes.  Now that I have three boys as well, I have washed quite a few odd things.  Things that should not be in the washer.  Things that included but are not limited to, legos, shells, action figures, cars, stickers, pens,  pullups (that was an interesting clean up experience), a calculator, a marker and a crayon. (That was a load of school uniforms that were permanately ruined).  Recently just yesterday I pulled out some silly putty from the washing machine.  It is amazing all the little things that somehow get tossed into the laundry clothes hamper and somehow missed before making it to the washing machine.  So, someone tell me that I am not the only one who has washed stuff that should not be washed.  What are some of the weirdest things that you have washed?

I have tried the Mountain Breeze Ultra packs and I like the way they make my clothes smell.  The scent is not too strong and overwhelming but it also is not too light. I think it is just the right amount.

Valentines Day is coming!

I love him

Growing up I always wanted the man that I first fell in love with would be the man that I married and I am glad that it worked out like that. I am so in love with my husband.   He is the only man that I have ever loved or dated. God knew what He was doing for sure!  Yesterday was our 7th anniversary.  We are actually going to celebrate it this weekend since thats when the grandparents are able to take the kids for a night.  I am looking forward to going out on a date with my husband.  With three young children at home it is hard to find the time to be able to go out.  It is also hard to find a babysitter with enough energy to keep up with my boys.  The quality time that we get to spend together by ourselves is great and it comes rarely.  We usually just go to a dinner and a movie but we decided not to do a movie but we will try to do something else.  You cannot really bond or talk during a movie so we are gonna find something more fun that involves us interacing with each other.  So, I am taking ideas on what we can do as a fun date night.     

Natural House Review and Giveaway. Ends 1/13

As a mom of three young boys, I find it hard to keep the house clean sometimes.  I can use all the help I can get.  I was intereseted in the products from Natural House that I was given to review.  They all have fun names like Sinky, Flushy, and Trashy.  The first product that I wanted to get started trying was Flushy.
 
This was kinda fun to watch.  You drop one of the packets into the toilet and watch it start foaming and cleaning the toilet.  Flushy Probiotic Cleaning packet is a powerful toilet bowl cleaner and Drain and Septic Treatment in one. Their professional strength formula cuts through stains, hard water and calcium deposits in the bowl. The probiotics continue to consume toilet paper and waste build up in the p-trap, drain and pipes, and maintains the health of your septic system.   You use one packet a week and the probiotics work for a week until you drop in another one.  Each Flushy package contains 4 packets which will last you a month. 

The next product that I tested was Sinky.



This product works great too and is simple to use.  Just drop a packet into your sink drain and run some hot water on it for a few seconds.  If you have a disposal turn it on too.  This product made my sink smell pretty good.  Sinky Probiotic Cleaning packet breaks down grease and food scraps to help prevent clogs and slow drains. Used weekly, Sinky will scour your drain and disposal driving out odors at their source.  Sinky also comes in a pack of 4 which will last a month.  One per week.

The last product that I tried was Trashy. 



This product I was a little scared to try only because I did not want to brave cleaning out my nasty garbage can.  You know how the bag slips and no one fixes it before they throw the garbage in the pail.  It misses the bag and goes straight to the bottom of the can becoming gross.  So, I tried this product and was amazed.  Spray it on, let it sit for a few mintues and wipe it off.  That simple.  Trashy Probiotic Cleaning removes odors at their source. Use trashy in your indoor or outdoor trash cans to dissolve odors, grease and food scraps.  You can also use this in diaper pails too.  This spray bottle last for 30 days as well if used regularly. 

Overall I love all 3 of these products that I have tried.  I love the fact that they are Eco-Friendly, non-toxic, and biodegradable.    Check out this cute video to learn more about the proucts from Natural House.

Learning With Felt, review

I was so excited when I found out that I could do a review on Betty Lukens Learning with Felt products.  I was sent a few different scenes to do with my kids and they love it.  So do I.  These are great products for the kids to do on there own for quiet time and it helps to expand their imagination and learn.  It is also a great product to do one on one with the kids and help them learn about the animals or the bible story.  This also would make for a fun family time activity where each member of the family could tell a part of the story.  The possiblities are endless with these kits.  I had my kids each tell me a story using the felt pieces and they had to do everything on there own.  They came up with some really good stories and used all the pieces that came with the packages.  I like that it allows the children to make up their own story and it not be influenced by anything other than their minds.  Some parts were silly, like the lamb on the roof of the barn but that is what makes it special. 

If you have more than one kit, you could even mix the pieces to make a bigger story.  My kids enjoyed these products so much that I am going to buy a big felt board so that they can have it out in the open and it can be something that they can do freely with a lot of space for their imaginations.

Glow Crazy Distance Doodler review

I was given the opportunity to try and review the new Glow Crazy Distance Doodler.  When the package arrived and my kids saw what it was they were excited to get started playing with it.  I opened up the box to see what was inside of it.

I placed the cling on papers onto the door of my kids room.  It is in a hallway with no windows so it will be dark and they can see it and have fun with it.  The tips say it works best in a dark room.  So after I hung them up I let me kids play with it.  They all had a blast playing with it.  My kids ages range from 3-6 and each of them enjoyed playing with it. 

We have had this toy for about 2-3 weeks now and it is not a toy that they have forgotten about.  They draw with it just about every day.  My husband and I have also even enjoyed doodling with it.  It is a fun toy to have and it does not take up a bunch of space which is important.
