Surrounded by Testosterone

I am the only pink in the house of blue.  So that means there is a whole lot of testosterone.  Everything we do turns into a wrestling match for my boys.  We go kite flying and it turns into wrestling between John and Evan.  Picture taking turns into wrestling with all 3 of them.  Even on car rides they try fighting each other, but luckily they are strapped in and can not reach each other except Elishah who sits in the middle of John and Evan.  At home, Evan puts John in a head lock.  Elishah smacks John.  Its never ending.  It gets so frustrating playing referee all the time to make sure they arent hurting each other for real.  But I feel it is also a good thing because it helps them form a bond with each other.  It brings them closer together as brothers.  It is a way for them to show love for each other.  So as much as I can't stand the fighting and wrestling, (my husband has to remind me a lot that they are boys) I let them do it a lot to strengthen there bonds, but boy oh boy, I need a girl day!

Magnetic Boats in the Tub by Alex

I used my points that I have accumulated with Pampers Gifts to Grow and redeemed some for the Magnetic Boats in the Tub for my boys.  All 3 of my boys love playing with these and my kids range in age from 2-5.  I think it was a good choice of prize.  They are durable and the magnets are pretty strong, the boats will stick to my tub without slipping, which entertains my kids a lot.  They find it funny that they can stick the boat to the side and it won't slide down.  The boats don't flip over or sink. These are pretty cute boats, that provide bathtime fun.

The Factor Tree

As a part of Bzz Agent I was chosen to try out a website.  In this campaign I get a free 30 day trial.  It is a math site for children to learn about math.  I have a 5 year old son and I had him take the test.  It was very simple for him to use.  I like how it gives him some extra learning opportunties outside of school and since he likes being on the computer, he is getting a bit of both.

What makes the Factor Tree so effective?

Provides the practice and repetition needed for a child to truly master key math skills
Use a skill-adaptive progression algorithm to pinpoint each child’s true skill level
Provides parents with helpful reports, metrics and notifications to track their child’s progress
Combines a state testing-compliant curriculum, world class educational theories and innovative technology to create a better learning tool

If you are looking for some extra math skills for your child to learn from I'd check out The Factor Tree

Looking at houses

We have lived in an apartment for the last 6 years.  I am so ready to be in a house now.  I can't wait to have a backyard for my kids to play in, to be able to paint walls and just to have a house of my own.  I am getting excited that our next move will be to a house and not another apartment.  I think a house just has a different feel than an apartment.  Don't get me wrong we have lived in some nice apartments, but I'm glad were getting a house.  Once we get into a house we will be getting a puppy soon after.  That'll be a good thing for the boys to have.  A puppy to grow up with them.  So I am excited that we are starting to look at houses for our family.
